Our ultra modern Marine Sciences lab houses a purpose built facility with water, gas and electricity delivered to every student station with the instructor retaining full control of opening or shutting off any experiment for safety. Microscopes, centrifuges, hot air and microwave ovens, sterilizers, refrigerator, incubators, safety cabinets, thermometers, mobile testing sets and different scales are all available to students in sufficient quantities. We also have two boats for exploration, fishing and research.
With our experienced staff in Marine Sciences of two PhD holders, two MS holders and many experienced boat and fish hands, students can combine their theoretical, practical and lab learning experiences for a rewarding education in Marine Sciences.
City University “Marine Two”
Marine Two is the end boat of the City University Marine & Fisheries Institute. It is 9′ long with a 25hp outboard engine. It is used for both teaching marine sciences and catching fish for student consumption and departmental budget support.
City University “Marine One”
Marine One is the 1st boat of the City University Marine & Fisheries Institute. It is 27′ long and houses sleeping quarters. It is used for teaching, research and fishing.
