The Foundations & Languages Institute (FLI)

The institute provides English as a Second Language, Math, and IT courses. The necessary per-requisite to quality college education takes up-to six months depending on the results of the English language placement test for admitted students.

English Language Curriculum

Students admitted to the university, but are lacking English language proficiency, are placed in one of six-levels above after testing. Upon completion of level six (advanced) class, students undergo TOEFL preparation lessons to be able to take full advantage of the quality education provided to them at CU.

Language Learning Support Services

City University also offers high quality English language classes to members of the public in an English Language Certificate Program that is available both on a part-time and full-time basis. Students use lecture, language labs, debates, spelling bee, writing competition, weekly level appropriate readers and book reports, online resources and more. TOELF Examination preparation services are also offered to students.
